From Kate: My workshops provide students with the opportunity to learn watercolour painting techniques in serene settings that promote mindfulness and relaxation. You will explore the basic principles of colour mixing, blending and brush strokes before embarking on a collection of botanical paintings inspired by the seasons. Live painting demonstrations and illustrated worksheets ensure that you will acquire skills that can be applied when practising painting at home. Beginners and more experienced artists are welcome and all materials will be provided.
This workshop will take place in the Breezy Teas cafe building (wheelchair accessible), where your group will have exclusive use of the space under Kate's instruction. All materials, as well as tea and coffee provided. All you need is some enthusiasm!
Indian block printing originates back thousands of years and done with hand carved wooden blocks from India. The blocks come in an abundance of designs from traditional patterns to modern designs like fruits and flowers, hares and bees!
Would you like to learn the art of Indian block printing using individual hand carved wooden blocks? You will choose from a selection of beautiful colours and come up with your own design.

Learn how to needle felt a beautiful wool succulent in this relaxed and supportive environment! In this beginner friendly class, you will learn how to make your own needle felted plant from start to finish. Be as creative as you’d like with color, style and shape!
You will be supplied with a little plant pot as the base for yours design. All materials are included, including foam mats, felting needles and wool. Sharon will guide everyone through the process, demonstrating several styles of succulents. She will offer creative input, show how to create certain details and styles of leaves, and talk through how felting works.
No experience is necessary this will be a lovely relaxed class and the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

This workshop is focused on giving a close group experience to budding nature photographers of all abilities. All you need is a digital camera and plenty of enthusiasm.
About Valerie:
Valerie specialises in teaching in a fun, jargon-free practical way. She was awarded the internationally respected Distinction of Associate of the Royal Photography Society (ARPS) in 2020. In September 2023 she had a solo exhibition of her work to be hosted by the National Trust at Nunnington Hall in North Yorkshire.
